MY LIFE (album song presentation)

"my life" is a song taken from my first album. During my 2nd album launch (in 21st July 12), we decided to give a new spin to it.. a bit more edgier sound to the song.

Hope you enjoy our live performance of this song... i enjoyed presenting it actually. If God willing, we could re-do this version in studio.. let's see..hahaha :P

If you love it, share it around.. like it too!

the visit of Agape Services For The Blind Bhd (ASB).

Over the weekend, we at FCC hosted a group of people from Agape Services For The Blind Bhd (ASB).

They came to all the FCC services and they led worship, gave testimony and did a simple presentation.

Word of God was brought to us by Rev Wong from St Gabriel KL and SUFES manager, who actually an advisor to ASB. Amazing sermon as well.

Their testimony is just amazing and touching. Many were touched and also impressed with their presentation.

I thought the whole event actually was a good reminder that no matter who we are, we are children of God. Jesus loves everyone of us.

At the same time, a good reminder that we need to serve God with hearts all out. Even we have full able body, we tend to be lazy, giving reasons. This group show us that despite their handicap, they able to give their best to the Lord. It's really something to learn and ponder upon.

Thanks ASB for being a blessing to FCC. May God continue to shower His blessings upon you all.

Sitting on a (Sat)urday

Usually Saturday I will be busy preparing myself for worship sessions.

Just that this week, we have some special guest taking over the worship, giving me some chance to relax and spend personal time in music/worship.

Was listening some songs.. especially Elevation Worship (it's a great album!) and try to get myself to compose some songs.

Halfway,of all albums, i decided to listen back to my 2nd album again, and boy.. i kinda amazed by myself, of all people.

Was reminded of God's grace when producing it. Was reminded the hardwork put into it. Thankful for the help of many great musicians (Jon Tse, JunJun, David, etc) and the support of many friends and family.

Looking at the positive, knowing there's a lot of areas to improve. Trying to get myself inspired and motivated to be a better musician, singer, songwriter for God.

All in all, think this has been a great journey..

Hope it inspires more people, hope more to come in future..

=)

{article sharing} a full house by Reuben Morgan

Was doing some "spring cleaning" in my pc and I found some worship articles that I saved many years ago, thought I want to share here too.

His profile (copied straight from Wiki)
Reuben Morgan is the worship pastor at Hillsong Church in London, UK. Prior to this he was a worship pastor and one of several worship leaders and songwriters alongside Darlene Zschech at Hillsong Church in Sydney, Australia. He has written songs such as "Eagles Wings", "Hear Our Praises", "I Give You My Heart", "My Redeemer Lives" and "Mighty to Save", which won the Worship Song of the Year at the 40th GMA Dove Awards.[1] In 2005 his first solo worship album,World Through Your Eyes, debuted at No. 3 in the Australian Christian Charts.

This article is taken straight from Reuben Morgan's website.

A Full House - By Reuben Morgan

"Missions is not the ultimate goal of the church. Worship is." (John Piper)

Jesus tells a story in Luke 14 about a man who invites a great number of people to dinner at his house but they all give excuses as to why they can't come. He becomes angry and sends his servants out into the streets to invite whoever they can find. It ends up that many people come but the master isn't completely happy... there is still room for more.

This story just makes me think about the way God encourages everyone to come to Him so that His House will be full. It's a picture of the Church and the Kingdom of God.

Worship presents us with an incredible picture of celebration in the Master's House, but it's clear that He is passionate about His House being. It's as though He is saying, "It's great you're here, and this is what you were made for, but there's still room. Go out and get everyone you can find." These two concepts have to go together - worshipping in the house AND going out to bring others in. We can't stay worshipping endlessly and neglect those who have not yet heard the Name of Jesus.

For us to truly worship God, two fundamental elements are needed: revelation (whereby God reveals Himself to us) and response (whereby we respond freely and uninhibitedly to God in awe and wonder). My prayer is that, in every worship setting, we worship in a way where we connect with the very heart of God and, out of that place, respond in action to impact and change our world.

The whole idea of missions is that we go where worship is not yet. It's loving people who ultimately need to know that they were created to be God-worshippers. Ephesians 1:11-12 says, "...For He chose us from the beginning, and all things happen just as He decided long ago. God's purpose was that we who were the first to trust in Christ should praise our glorious God."

One of the things I love about Hillsong Church is that we are blessed with an incredible, unique worshipping environment but, equally, we are encouraged to stretch and extend ourselves in changing the world around us - to live beyond ourselves... "blessed to be a blessing".

Each one of us is called to mission just as we are all called to worship our God. I just want to encourage you... be creative in missions. It just may be that the very act of cooking a meal for your neighbour has the potential to open the door to a conversation that ends in a soul saved for eternity. Maybe the very act of sponsoring one more child could just change an entire nation for Christ. Maybe an extra moment with your work colleague will pave a way for you to invite them to church.

We cannot worship exclusively, leaving the unsaved disconnected from our incredible Saviour. We've got to share what we know about Jesus Christ so that, when the world fades and our "missions" work is done, God's House will be full... for eternity.

LENT

Today marks the beginning of LENT season. It starts with Ash Wednesday.

Usually Lent season marks the preparation season for Easter. LENT often becomes a season of soul-searching and repentance. It is a season for reflection and taking stock.

Lent usually are 40 days and the individual Christian imitates Jesus’ withdrawal into the wilderness during this auspicious season. Basically it's fasting.

May this Lent season be meaningful for you as we ponder about His sacrifice.

Psalms 95

Sharing what I reflect after reading Psalms 95..

I always remember what Darlene Zschech always said "worship is worth ship".

Yes, bring a worship that is worthy of our beloved Father in Heaven. Having said so, how can we bring a worship that is "worth ship"?

Make joyful noise (v1-2)
So why make joyful noise, sing and shout?? Is it God deaf or He is so far?
One thing I learnt and reminded over the past few weeks is that sometimes we need to SHOUT God's praise.
Imagine going to a football match and when your team is winning, you just stay silent. It's just awkward.

Shouting, making joyful noise, singing is an expression of our feelings, joy, gratitude to our Father in heaven. It also lift our spirits and atmosphere of worship.

Make Him known in our lives (v3-7)
Knowing He is God of all, we should acknowledge Him as God who take cares of us. Like a loving father, a loving shepherd.

Make God pleased (v8-11)
Making God happy and pleased is not just with our music BUT with our hearts, walk, obedience with God. That's one wholesome worship to God

In verses 8-11, there's some example of those who didn't hear God's voice and those feeling rebellious. A reminder of what doesn't please God's heart.

In coming CNY season, family gathers for good fellowship and we enjoy each other's presence.
Same with our Father in heaven who also love to have us to be around to worship Him and please Him.

In conclusion, remember to bring a worship that is worthy of our loving Father as we come into His presence.

PS : Have a good CNY season ahead.. even though I might wish this a bit too early.. aha...

compass (LIVE in KK 7th SEPT 2012)

It seems a lot of people love this song. One of the tracks in my 2nd album.

Recorded live in Kota Kinabalu on 7th September 2012. Thanks Sam Vun for this live footage.

Some simple story about this song :-
In a world where everyone easily caught up with the rat race and busyness, it's easy to get lost in our own ways. This is where we really need God's word and love.
Like when we need to go somewhere, we need GPS, maps, etc etc.. or more old skol way.. compass. Imagine going somewhere without direction. How about if I throw you into the jungle without any directional aid, you will be lost.
Same with our lives, we do need God's love and word to direct us and lead us.

For it says in Psalms -- "Your word is a lamp to my feet, light to my path".

I agree with everyone that this song is nice.. one of my favourite songs I wrote in recent times.

ENJOY and PLEASE share it around =)
